Blame & Praise

It is reported that Khalid ibn Ma’dan – Allaah have mercy on him – said:

Whoever seeks praise by going against the truth, Allaah will throw it back upon him as blame, and whoever faces blame in order to conform to the truth, Allaah will return it as praise for him.
