For the purpose of fearing Allaah...

Sufyaan Ath-Thawree (may Allaah have mercy upon him) said:

 

"Indeed knowledge should only be learned for the purpose of fearing Allaah. Indeed, knowledge has been given virtue over other than it because with it Allaah is feared."
