Every Decree Ordained is JUST...

There is a distinction between judgement and decree, because judgements are executed and decrees are just.

The judgement of Allah, implies His legitimate judgement and His preordained judgement upon the whole universe. Both judgements are executed upon human beings, who are subjected to them either willingly or unwillingly. However there is only one distinction between the two, the preordained universal judgement is compulsory whereas the religious judgement is optional.

On the other hand, decree means completion and perfection whenever it is executed. The expression ” Your decree is just ” means “Your decree which you completed and perfected is the rightful one”

The word “judgement” refers to every commandment prescribed by Allah, the exalted. The judgement of Allah is ordained. Religious judgements will surely be executed if it is ordained by Allah. Verily Allah executes that which He ordains and anyone else can decide whichever judgement he wants but he may still lack the ability to execute it. Allah alone has the power of judgement and implementation. The expression, ” Your decree is just ” comprises all the decrees ordained by Allah upon His servant: illness or health, luxury or poverty, pleasure or pain, life or death, punishment or reward etc.

Allah says

وما أصابكم من مصيبة فبما كسبت أيديكم ويعفو عن كثير

And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much {ash-shura 42:30}

And Allah also says

وإن تصبهم سيئة بما قدمت أيديهم فإن الإنسان كفور

but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful {ash shura, 42:48}

Every decree ordained upon the servant of Allah is just.
