Random Thought of the Day

So I wanna start this new thing, where I reflect upon these new Muslim Moments which have been posted on Tumblr. So the first one here is "The fulfilling moment when you obey your parents' wishes". So, we have all heard the hadith of RasulAllah (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa salaam) when he said, "Verily, Jannah lies under the feet of your mother." SubhanAllah. This truly shows the importance of taking care of our parents, and specifically the mother. She has held us for 9 months, and Allah willing, she raised us and cared for us. How can we not be thankful? You should only love Allah, and the Prophet (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa salam) more than your own parents, but do we really show our parents respect, and do we give them what is their rights upon us? This is a reminder to myself first, that we should love our parents and show them our love through actions, as we would with Allah and the Messenger (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa salam) by fulfilling the commands. We should obey our parents to the best of our ability, mother and father, alike...
