Do not be diligent upon the wordly life...

Sufyaan ath-Thawri while advising 'Ali as-Sulami said,

"Upon you is to speak less as it will soften your heart. And upon you is to observe much silence, you will achieve piety. And do not be diligent upon the wordly life."
